I want to be a Salesman of the YEAR !!

Sale !

It is a huge word. Ask any salesman.

If you are into sales job, then I am sure many of you have been asked to sale a pen (isn't it?).

The purpose of writing this article is not to give you any tips about selling, which has been done by many learned writers on internet or through their works on paper. I cannot do that, at least not now.

I write it to know, to really understand the phenomenon of selling.

I just joined a one company which is into Burner or say combustion field. This company has average market hold, I was previously in the company which has excellent market reputation as well acquisition. The reason I why chose to join the average company (obviously other than salary and designation) is to gain knowledge on various aspects about industries and market as salesman perspective as being in a small company and taking it to next level.
Yes, I am in Sales & Marketing :)

"Risk toh Spiderman bhi leta hai, tu to phir bhi Salesman hai" - From Movie RocketSingh Salesman of the year ..

This is so true in real life also. I have taken a risk of getting into medium scale company but I know this will pay off in due course.

Both the company has almost a same line of products in combustion field.
Comparing burner of both the company, I could see the difference clearly. One is adequately complex (as it to have a monopoly and proprietorship, other than performance)  and one is utterly simple (assuming me that engineering isn't applied to its fullest).

Simple and complex is being the technology that goes into developing the product. Not always true, but simple technology has simple results.

And still both the product sales in the market. Both have a buyers, customers, users (satisfied or partially satisfied, of course you cannot keep them unsatisfied).

What do you prefer a complexly engineered product or simple?

Enjoy best scene of one my favourite movie. RocketSingh Salesman of the year. Very inspiring.
